"Galaxy On7 Prime" will come in two variants, both with 4GB of RAM, the sources added. The new device is expected to be exclusive to Amazon India, with a focus on design, performance and photography elements.
In 2017, Samsung India launched "Galaxy On Max" for Rs 16,900. The device was equipped with a camera of the best class made to measure for low-light photography, enabled by its flagship opening f / 1.7, the company said in a statement. With a 5.7-inch Full HD screen, the device was powered by an Octa-Core processor of 2.39GHz, 1.69GHz, 4GB of RAM and has an internal memory of 32GB expandable up to 256GB through a micro-SD card. "Galaxy On Max" sports 13MP front and rear camera with LED flash.
With the new "Galaxy On", Samsung will seek to strengthen its mid-range segment where it has witnessed strong competition from Chinese brands. After registering a 27 percent growth in revenues of mobile companies for fiscal year 2016-17, reaching a gigantic Rs 34,300 crore, Samsung has become the undisputed leader in the highly competitive local smartphone market and sensitive to prices.
With this kind of growth, Samsung has overshadowed sales of key Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Lenovo and even the Apple giant based in Cupertino.
